You say the code for delete itself works.
So putting just a QuestionDlg inbetween shouldn't matter.

And you say your code works with MessageDlg now?

I think there is something hugely wrong elsewhere in your program.

QuestionDlg or MessageDlg  shouldn't make a difference.
If it does, I suspect you have a huge (memory) corruption somewhere in your program.
