Can we have a global pool of developers?
« on: July 09, 2023, 02:12:48 am »
I'm finding some projects nowadays requires web and apps (Windows, iOS, Andriod) at the same time. So I'm wondering whether there are Lazarus developers within this forum who can transform my program into iOS, Android, etc. when I have my own program. If yes, can we keep a pool of developers so that we can try to get such projects?

If any firmware develop "the selling on amazon", off the this software,
 -- then you have right. but without selling-anything on amazon, your trick is fail of all these developers.
My answer is = is No Not nu. no, niet.
Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]
  1. procedure mydefinitions;
  2. Begin
  3. --this_software:= 'your apps (Windows, iOS, Andriod) at same time';
  4. --your trick:='Can we have a global pool of developers?';
  5. End;
  6.

No, don't expect anyone are willing to do any free work.
Offer to solve an interesting and useful task for the community, guarantee that the results of this work will be freely available for any use by the community, get personal profits by using to some extent the results of collective work in your program, even if it will bring you money. Win Win

But, of course, the global pool of developers in the proposed ts context is a utopia

fpmtls - ssl/tls 1.3 implementation in pure pascal
fpmailsend - sending a simple email message
pascal-webui - use web browser as gui and fpc as backend

Still sound win lose to me. Basically, you're lucky to find someone that willing, but in general nobody will. You chase your own dreams, as what we all do. Nobody forces me to contribute, I contribute whenever/wherever/whatever I want.

You can hire a developer/freelancer, nobody can stop you to give money for work. And yes it is normal in OpenSource that special support is not free and must be paid if you want more than the opensource product itself.

The IDE and compiler is OpenSource, so you can spend money for the knowledge to work with, because you have saved a lot of money for the IDE. For other products you have to pay for the IDE AND the knowledge how to use it.
