Hello some example of nested report

I don't know if possible on my App i have 2  tables one contain document witch one has be paid and also i have table where keep document was paid, but the problem is how i can get documents for both tables i one report, I thought could be using nested report but i don't see example of king some body can explain me lite bit about that or another idea to join the information....
