Voting for the new Lazarus icon

comeon, the 'realistic' cheetah- icon is ugly.
It looks more like a stray cat in pain. And it could apply to all kinds of programs.
Can someone high in ranks veto that if it's turning out to be that one?
I really like the first two. 
Why? Stylish. Clever look, of intelligence. You instantly see it's a cheetah face, but it's simple at the same time and fits the project.

I completely agree with Legolas.
I think the first 2 look very stylish and reflect better what Lazarus does, I also slightly like the blue one better.

But why a cheetah logo when it is named Lazarus?
OK, I know it came from the dead project that was revived, but:

• It is not a name that attracks new users
• Does not show what it does
• Religeous names might better be avoided

Should we use a mummy like logo?
Or is Lazarus a "code name" until version 1.0 is reached?

To be fair, I think the 2 component icon choices in the poll, should be added together. The only difference is the colour.

iirc. The Lazarus cheetah- logo came from the Free Pascal logo. (which is a running cheetah).

I do not agree, Lazarus is not a code name. Code names are stupid. Lazarus is the only and definitive name. If you don't like eligion, don't bother about the name.
You now know about who Lazarus is, a lot of people don't. Like they do not know that Marc, Peter, John, Simon,....and others are religoius names.
P.S. Imagine the desaster that will happen when searching for something about Lazarus on google if it would be renamed.

I think we should maybe make a competition about those graphical things, like what happened with the logo of Compiz. However this should not be a priority. Functionality is the priority.

A religious name may disattrackt some people.

You now know about who Lazarus is, a lot of people don't. Like they do not know that Marc, Peter, John, Simon,....and others are religoius names.

The names you mention have a biblical background but are not related to it anymore, even non Christian people give them to there children.

I don't think so, google would lead them the Lazarus page which could say, we have renamed Lazarus to XYZ and this (link to XYZ) is the new homepage/site.

But like I said before, they are just some thoughts, no harm ment.

While it is off-topic (nothing to do with the logo) a remark on the comment that Lazarus is (or was) a religious name and may harm the success of the project...

So Delphi has a religious name too. ( I am now waiting for any one to point out, this may be the reason why Delphi has lost some of it's popularity....)

IMO, logos should be simple, like Windows and Apple logos. Something that's easily reproduced and recognized.

The old logo, the realistic Cheeta, looks like a blob at 16x16.

The new logos (blue and orange) are better, imo, although the eyes and nose are lost at 16x16.

IMO there shouldn't be too much details on a logo.

I have downloaded 0.9.26.2 and one of the things i really disliked is the new icon, I think we should focus on one of those to.

Maybe the paw will be better, because in these days everything has got a kind of 3d glass effect and this icon matches that.

I agree with the need of simplicity. The "component blue" one looks nice for me, and I like the paw one too. May be the project can use both them for different stuff.

How does that look at 16x16?

it will need some editing...

but I think it can end up better than the current face => to be honest in 16/16 on windows: I wouldn't know it is a face, if I hadn't seen the bigger one ever.
(The same is true for lots of icons on win16/16, including firefox)
