starts without error with Zeos8 svn-r7807,
Lazarus 2.2.2-Win32 and FirebirdSQL 3.0.10

Hmmm, it did not load correctly for me. Because the property AutoEncodeStrings was set to true, and this property does not exist any more in ZEOS 8. Reset it to false in the new commit (r8286) so that it does not appear in the lfm file any more.

Select "Continue loading"
(This is unnecessary in Zeos8 and will be ignored / rejected).

The example works with FirebirdSQL, SQLite and PostgreSQL options. In the case of PostgreSQL, you need to set the login parameters to the existing database in the code.
