There is a major issue with Chinese characters in KMEMO....

jianwt, I am very sorry that KMemo does not work as you expect. But please understand that the author of KMemo does not frequent this forum. Further, he has indicated that he considers KMemo as complete and does not expect to undertake major works there.

Please also understand that neither the author, TK nor (I think) the people who have been offering you assistance here have any knowledge of the Chinese written language. And that makes it very hard for use to understand your problem an almost impossible to help you. If KMemo needs more work done on it to improve its handling of Chinese, it needs to be done by someone who understands Chinese, we are useless to you !

If you can solve the problem your self and your solution does not break things for other users, I believe that TK would accept your suggestions but I don't think he will fix it himself.

As I understand it, KMemo uses and displays UTF8 characters. I found, when using KMemo to output to a PDF document, that only a True Type font had the correct font metrics available, if you use another sort of font, the PDF would show problems like you mention. I told you this on the 21st of November. But I think you rejected that advice.

I do have a number of Chinese speaking people using my app based on KMemo so it does seem to suit some people.

I wish you the best of luck dealing with this.

@dbannon,谢谢你的帮助与告诫,非常感谢。其实,我就是把我发现的一些问题,放在这里,作者看不看,也无所谓了,我又不拿它做东西,仅仅是感兴趣!

@dbannon, thank you for your help and advice. Thank you very much. In fact, I just put some of the problems I found here. It doesn't matter whether the author reads it or not. I'm not using it for anything. I'm just interested!
