How can RF analysis applications be created?
« on: April 17, 2022, 01:04:05 pm »
Hi All,
Has anyone worked on FM radio on Android? Or it could be related to RF signals.
I would be glad if you share your knowledge and experience. Respects.

Thank you very much for the reply master jmpessoa.
As far as I understand from my experiments, the relevant application uses the internet.
I want to access the signal receiving hardware directly, like in camera or gps applications, and examine each frequency in Hz level.
I hope @c4p can enlighten us on this.

I highly doubt that there is a way to get raw baseband data out of a normal phone.

But it looks like there are drivers for Android for RTL-SDR. Then you would just need that as an external USB dongle. From that you should "easily" be able to receive and decode FM

Android for RTL-SDR.
I didn't know that, good to know. It'll take some research.
