[solved] data appears in controls in design mode not when run

Hi all-

I set all the properties and data shows up in  tdbedit and tdbgrid. When I click run, the navigator buttons are not lit up, and no data appears in the controls.

I'm using firebird 3.0 with zeos 7.x and laz. 2.0.10 and fpc 3.2.0.

Can anyone shed some light on why at runtime data is not appearing?

Hi all-

I got stuck because I forgot to do something | being absent minded.

It is okay that I got stuck because it afforded me the opportunity to look at many things that I will need to consider anyway.
