Is my installation faulty? I get the above error message as soon as I click Tools->Options. I'm running
#2.0.10

3.2.0
SVN Rev 63526
i386-win32-win32/win64

I haven't noticed any other problem.

sounds like you have a corrupt resource attached to the IDE ?

That dialog is most likely a dynamic one, one that needs to read the resource when fired up..!

that's my guess actually..  but I can't think of no other place where that would be coming from ?

You could try rebuilding the IDE, TOOLS and at the bottom etc..

that may reconstruct it.

When I "Build Lazarus with Profile: Normal IDE" I get these warnings in Messages:
Warning: svn not in path.
lazarus.pp(153,7) Note: Call to subroutine "function GetDebugLogger:TLazLogger;" marked as inline is not inline
lazarus.pp(161,3) Note: Call to subroutine "function GetDebugLogger:TLazLogger;" marked as inline is not inline

Then all appears to compile OK and I seem to be running OK - except for message in original post.

Ok, but are you able to get to the OPTION Dialog ? I mean does it display for you ?

Nothing displays. As soon as I click Tools-<Options, the error message floats above the unit I have opened.

TOOLS:Confgure "Build Lazarus"

Top option, change it to "Cleanup and build all"

Then hit the Build button at the bottom...

sit back and wait.

Make sure you close any open projects before doing this, just has a basic do nothing project opened.

or you could do this at the command line I guess.

After no success with the Cleanup and Build process I uninstalled Laz. When I reinstalled it I also cleaned up 'stuff' from prior installations. Thus I was required to reinstall all the desired packages that I use that don't come with Laz.

Whatever happened in that process seemed to work because my error messages have vanished and I can see the dialog after Tools->Options.

Getting Lazarus working perfectly again was an excellent Christmas present. :)

Thank you jamie and everyone else who provides so much help on this wonderful forum.
