ok,

I do have some C code that requires no libs that can be coded over to pascal that has complete communications protocols of various things using the sound card..

It has both windows and Linux port IO code to handle the sound for recording and playback..

I could possible forward you that some time if you feel like looking at it.

Sorry I give up, there are too much errors while trying to compile ACS on Linux, even without cdrom.

same thing on centos 8  64 bits too much  errors when compiling ACS ---> not usable on linux for now.

Hello Jamie.

I really appreciate your proposition and of course will give it lot of interest.

But at the moment uos gives all what I need:
. Connection to audios devices IN/OUT.
. Read and play mp3, wav, ogg, flac, opus files.
. Do synthesizer.
. Record
. Etc...

And all cross-os (Linux, Windows, MacOSX, FreeBSD), out of the box.

I use Lazarus 2.2.0 32/64 and FPC 3.2.2 32/64 on Debian 11 64 bit, Windows 10, Windows 7 32/64, Windows XP 32,  FreeBSD 64.
Widgetset: fpGUI, MSEgui, Win32, GTK2, Qt.
