Can´t install LazReport

I´m having lots of problems installing LazReport in Lazarus. Already tryed all Lazarus/Lazreport version combination I could find and didn´t manage to make it work.
For Lazarus I tryed both the "stable" 0.9.24 Lazarus version and the latest daily snapshot.
Also tryed 3 different LazReport versions: the classic 0.9.4, the latest from LazReport site, and the one in Lazarus´s /component/lazreport folder.
Any of these combinations always ends in the same result: it compiles lazreport, it rebuild Lazarus, but the Lazarus fails to start.
What is the problem ? In lazreport´s site says it only works with FPC 2.0.4, yet I have a project of mine that I was making some months ago, who is pretty complete with Lazarus and Lazreport and I had never encountered this much trouble just to install lazreport. My old lazarus installation had no problems installing lazrepot and I always have used the latest daily snapshot, that means fpc 2.1.1 and above.
If I have to go back to FPC 2.0.4 where do I get a Lazarus version with it ? There´s no version with a fpc that old, or at least I haven´t find any. Do I have to install it manually just to use lazreport ?
Anyone knows what the problem may be ? thnx

Strange, I never had that problem. I always use the latest snapshot of both Lazarus and fpc. You didn't say fpc version that you use.

Well these are the versions bundled with the Lazarus distributions, which are FPC 2.2.0 or FPC 2.2.1 for the daily snapshot and FPC 2.2.0 for the stable 0.9.4 version. I tried all of them.

I'm using fpc 2.2.0 with lazarus SVN 0.9.25 (updated everydary) without problems when compile lazreport of /components/lazreport directory...

Try recompiling rtl, packages, and lcl before rebuilding lazarus (clean first!).

Triyed that. Didn´t work. Used spybot, adaware and Avast to scan everything, found some adwares, cleaned all. Tryed again. Didn´t work... now I really getting desperate. Very strange. Never seen quite a thing. I have a very clean windows installation with pratically nothing installed. Nothing running in the taskbar. Now what ?

Days passing and I can´t get any clue of what is going on and I really need to make an upgrade on a program of mine.
Is there any install log, or start log, that I can read to try to find what´s happening with startlazarus.exe ?
Just for the record It compiles the IDE, links it, then when startlazarus.exe runs it simply ends with no error message, and that´s it. I really need to find what´s going on here. Using this version: Lazarus-0.9.24-fpc-2.2.0-20071114-win32.exe, but as I said, tryed others.
Also anyone knows what files are installed in windows folder ? everytime I try, I delete lazarus folder, but I think the installation puts something in windows folder, so I´m considering some conflict with the files which are installed there.

Do you install GLScene? If yes, what version? I used to have this issue with GLScene 1.0.0.1 and below.

No. I try to install LazReport from a fresh start, i.e., as soon as I instal lazarus from the Lazarus-0.9.24-fpc-2.2.0-20071114-win32.exe file. It is the first package I try as soon as the installation is finished. And every time I try I delete Lazarus folder first.

Dont work for me neither.

Using GTK2, last lazarus from trunk 0.9.25 beta  fpc 2.2.0, get a error message after adding the package and recompiling, start the ide and raise:

Error reading frProgressFrom.TextHeigth unknow property.

Any idea?

TextHeight is a form property left over from Delphi that was summarily removed from the LCL recently, which broke a lot of packages (including virtually everything I had ever ported from Delphi). The solution is to delete it from the .lfm files and recreate their .lrs files.

I' m new to FPC, please sorry for basic questions.
1) Do you mean i must open all the forms containing that property and save (likle in delphi) and that will eliminate the property?
2) How to recreate lrs files?

Are you using an up-to-date version of Lazarus? I'm not familiar with the LazReport package, but just now I grepped its .lfm files and I don't see any TextHeight property.

You can create a .lrs file manually like this:

lazres myform.lrs myform.lfm

Compile lazres.lpi in Lazarus tools to get lazres utility.
