It works! It works!

Thanks to this wiki http://wiki.freepascal.org/Getting_Lazarus I was able to use their repository to get Lazarus installed and working!

Why can't Lazarus do this?
Thank you,

I have installed Ubuntu 7.10 and then installed Lazarus via repository.

But that was 0.9.22 and it was old (on windows I use 0.9.24.1).

So I have downloaded 0.9.24 deb version and I have installed and everything started to work, but I have some issues and some bugs with this version and I notice that this is 0.9.24 beta.

Now I am searching some new version for ubuntu maybe 0.9.25 but there is no such thing in download section.

Can some one point me how to compile Lazarus from source.

Ok I have managed to compile from source.

Copy source to /usr/share/lazarus/

and then
make > /dev/null

so far so good.
