Well, the captcha is easy to solve.
It is more of a problem to report SPAM every morning.
And annoying for the moderators to solve that subsequently every morning.....

There is nothing "strict" here. This forum is quite liberate.

The captcha for posting is only for your first few post. The first 2 posts (which used to be the first 5, but already got reduced)

Once you posted them, you no longer need a captcha.

The fact that you've successfully made your (first?) post suggests that the affront isn't insuperable :-)

I'd suggest that there's a fine line between having new users do a bit of extra work to demonstate that they aren't a bot or spammer, and having more experienced users abandon the forum because of the amount of unsolicited garbage it attracts if not carefully managed.

And I presume that you'd prefer it if the more experienced users were available to help out with any problems you have.

I have reduced the amount of questions that you are presented each time.

You now have to (for login AND for each of your first 2 posts):
- enter the letters from the distorted image
- answer one question (this used to be 2 questions)

Depending on your cookies this change may not affect everyone (of those still within their first 2 posts).

Unfortunately the settings for registration and first-post verification are one setting only. So I can not make the per-post questions easier than the registration.

I also do not see an option, to add a message that it is only for 2 posts, and after that you can post with no checks.
