TSynEdit & TSynPasSyn Highlighter in color

I have added a TSynEdit and used a TSynPasSyn highlighter,
when I load a pas file, it highlights it in black and white,
how can I get it to highlight it in color, like comments in blue, etc.

1) Have you set the SynEdit.Highlighter property to the SynPasSyn?

2) Have you checked the color settings in SynPasSyn (check all properties with "Attribute" in their name)

yeah when I click on the field with the attri in the name, it gives me the option to choose the color I want for the various tokens, and comment fields.
