Anyone confirm whether wmp meta data still working on 8?

Windows media player no longer supports meta data/album information on Windows 7 as of June 7. So I upgraded to Windows 8 and it still don't work? Anyone confirm whether wmp meta data still working on 8?

You're aware that this is a forum about Free Pascal, Lazarus and related issues, don't you? Shouldn't you be asking in a Windows forum? More probabilities of getting a significant answer there.
