It also sounds like the .NET languages. MS could easily provide a .NET run-time for Linux, but they won't (for obvious reasons).

There is .NET Core...
That shite is Linux only, nowhere near to the cross platforms of Mono (now also MS owned). FreeBSD tried to port it but failed miserably.

A - The comment to which I responded to was discussing Linux.  My answer also addresses Linux, so saying "Linux only" is somewhat redundant.

B - .NET Core supports three platforms: Windows, Linux and MacOS

Lazarus v4.3.0.0 (bcf314a670) / FreePascal v3.2.3-46-g77716a79dc (aka fixes)
(Windows 64-bit install w/Win32 and Linux on ARM and x64 cross-compilers via FpcUpDeluxe)

My Systems: Windows 10/11 Pro x64 (Current)

.NET Core is a cross-platform version of .NET for building websites, services, and console apps.

AFAIK, it is not possible to create desktop apps with .NET core.
It's only logical.

That's not true...
You only loose two way IDE, but programmatically this is possible.

Anyway this thread should have been locked.
If Europe sells their USA bonds the USD will collapse. Europe can affort that given average state debts. The USA can't affort that. Just an advice...

A. I said I hate that shite because apart from three major platforms it doesn't support anything other than that. From the BSDs user perspective isn't it 'Linux only'?
B. Three major platforms, it used to be only two but after the rise of Linux it becomes major. Windows, of course. Mac, for convenient. Linux, MS was forced, Linux is the server king.

BS. You of course could make binding of whatever gui library or graphic toolkit to draw it yourself bla bla... But it isn't what sane people do. Right tool for right job, isn't it?

I also think this thread should be blocked, to avoid people like you to BS anymore.
