cant paste into editor

I'm using 0.9.1.4b Win32 2004-04-19
I can't paste into editor text from system clipboard, it seems. Copy-paste within editor itself works fine but copy in external application and paste into editor does not. It just does nothing as if there is nothing to paste. Any ideas?

This is a known bug in the binary release. It has been fixed and will be in the next release. Alternatively you can get the source from cvs and compile lazarus your self (warning: this is not trivial for first time lazarus / fpc users).

It's been a while since I used Delphi so I wanted to paste through some reminder tutorials first but thats kind of hard without workig copy/paste :-)

What version of fpc are you using?

The one that came with latest windows version.

Unfortunately that version is too old. The file reader.inc used in the classes unit (classes.ppu) must be older than version 1.4, 2004/05/23 12:42:42

What do you suggest? Need I get the latest FPC + latest Lazarus CVS and then compile?

If you want, you can use fpc 1.9.4 and latest Lazarus CVS and compile them.

Somewhat too much hassle for simple essential feature. I'll try again after 1.x.
