GTK 2.20 Window Opacity
« on: September 22, 2007, 11:34:56 am »
Today I read the GTK2.20 release notes and I noticed that there is a method called gdk_window_set_opacity(). Is there someway we could make use of it to have transparent windows in GTK?

Hi the same interests me. Any idea how to use it in Lazarus? I'm also interested in per pixel alpha setting - this should be done via gdk_screen_get_rgba_colormap() according to gdk manual. Thanks

Alpha graphics is on the roadmap. Transparent windows too.
But.... for gtk we try not to depend on the latest release with all new features, since there are a lot of user not having that version.
