It's a gtk2 bug, with the timer you allow the application to exit the dbclick event.

I see. Maybe the warning I got when changing parent forms also had something to do with gtk.

It surely had. If I put the same code I had at first connected to a button click event instead of double-click on the memo, I get no warning, so I think I will move everything to this as it saves code.
