import a photo graphic image or logo

I have been reading all over the internet to find a simple way to import a graphic logo (or photo) into a free pascal program.  Is it a big deal?  I just want to show an image on the opening screen of the program.  I am not using Lazarus, just FPC.

The fcl-image package contains image loaders and comes with some examples/tests (look in fpc/package/fcl-image and deeper in the fpc sources for the examples).

How to display depends on your chosen graphics technology.
