Terminal question

I've been working with FPC/Lazarus for a while now. As an ex-Windows/Delphi user I've not had too many issues that I couldn't figure out.

One I was wondering about is a terminal control.  (Using Gnome, not sure if it matters) Several programs will have an embedded terminal on a form, for example Synaptic.

Is something like that currently possible with Lazarus? Couldn't find any info related to that.

Not exactly a terminal on a form, but you can pipe the output on a memo. See wiki on how to read it into a stringlist. Reading into a tmemo is not that much harder.
