OK, the MAKE command worked on the source(on the second try, at least), but... Where's the executable?

./lazarus just gives me a "Command not found" error. Running out of ideas here.

I don't know if Lazarus works on MAC but try make install
if it doesn't work search for the executable.
./lazarus is usualy used when you're in the lazarus directory, in Linux i think you can simply type lazarus and run the IDE, but it should have some symlinks first (after the make install).
Hope this helps, please tell me if it worked.

AFAIK make install doesn't work with the current lazarus makefiles.

I don't know about any symlinks, there are some paths to be set, the IDE advises at startup.

No, make install only returns "cannot find directory /install".

Is there no file named lazarus in the lazarus directory(this is the directory containing lazarus.pp)? If there is, try to start (execute) it.
If there isn't something went wrong during the build process. Did you see any error message during the build?

This looks like a FAQ: http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=2#54

Your milage may vary on OSX though.

Vincent.
