Lazarus and linux
« on: June 15, 2007, 09:44:03 am »
Hi to all,

i'm new user of lazalarus under linux, and i've some question

I'v installed FPC 2.1.4 64bits and lazarus 0.9.3 but; Lazarus it is comptatible with the FPC 2.1.4 64bits ? Because many components like GLScene don't compile (many typecast errors)

Where i can find the latest snapshot of Lazarus for linux (i see more developpment under windows :( ) ?

Thanks

64bit version of glscene doesn't work yet. I'd suggest using 32bit version of fpc and Lazarus for the time being.

You need to have libgtk1 or libgtk2 (depending on how you compile Lazarus) and a few other 32bit version libraries for 32bit Lazarus to work. The best way is to get fpc 2.1.4 (32 bit for linux) and compile Lazarus from source.
