TDBF with Linux

I tryed TDBF Locking with Windows and it works.

But useing Linux I get "Database is Read-Only! Do you want to risk....",
if i try to call DBF.Edit.
I checkt the Read-Only(false) and Excusive(false) Flags but every thing looks fine.
I checked the rights to the file they were 777, so this is fine, too.
I tested it as root and as user and nothing works.

Right now i don't know what to do, so please help me.

I have the same problem .
I have resolved regenerating the database from the application compiled on Linux .
   
It could be a problem of Character set ?
Some idea ??
