OK.

If you put any other control on the scrollbox, probably it will work OK.

If your point is: yes, go ahead and make Lazarus a geat IDE, I am with you. If your point is: no, Lazarus is a bad IDE, don't  use it, I'm not wih you.

There are people who give up on the first problem and don't wanna make efforts. And there are people who like to find problems, because this is a way of help. If you are a user who would like to make applications with Lazarus, I would like you to know that this forum is a good way to find help.

By the way, what Lazarus Project has to offer is not simply a IDE, it's a innovative organization style where users can be also developers. They can bring original and important contributions. Be you too a contributor to the project.

Antonio,

My need is to make Lazarus work to make my app work.

I am on the Lazarus list and I can assure you that I do make the effort.

Years ago I paid good money to buy Delphi 3. Delphi 4 was a dud, so I didn't upgrade. Then Delphi 5 and Delphi 6 introduced restrictions into the 'Standard' license, so I didn't upgrade.

I could probably use my (legitimate) Delphi 3 application to compile and distribute my application.

That is not the point.

The point is that I want my app to run on Linux. If it runs on Mac OS X, then so much the better.

In any case I am just pointing out that my application cannot run under Lazarus as it is at the moment.

Maybe Lazarus needs to change, maybe I need to rewrite my app so that it does run.

If it's the latter please let me know how I need to change my program so that it runs.

If it's the former, please help me to assist the developers to identify and rectify a bug (if bug it is).

The dead area is a problem,  but not necessarily a Lazarus bug. Maybe it's a Windows bug. If so, you can prevent this bug by changing your program.

Anyway, you could want to more accurately work on this by posting on bug tracker. If you want so, please do it, it's a way to contribute.

Cov, please respond. If you will not post on the tracker, I will.
