[SOLVED] Printer.Write strange behavior

It's a while since I really looked at ESC/P or ESC/P2 codes so had to research my manual to fathom what ESC d actually does  -  and surprize, surprize -- it doesn't exist.  ESC D sets horizontal tabs but I can't find any reference to ESC d.

Actually, ESC d 3 "Print and feed paper n lines" in ESC/POS.

It was quite easy to find in the documentation.

That's easy  - - -   wrong manual     
I did say it's a long time since I've used ESC codes and I only referenced the /P, /P2 manual rather than the more comprehensive /POS   which of course odvesims would reference since he's using a Point of Sale mini Thermal Roll unit.
