Hi,
Good for me on Windows 10 64 bits.
On the other hand, I tried to install Lazarus on a Windows 11 ARM with Raspberry-pi 4B 8GB RAM hardware and the installation using your utility stopped with an error.
The installation doc can be found on Blaise Pascal Magazine N° 101.
I don't know if this new version fixes the problem.
Thanks

Hey DonAlfredo,

I'm still in the middle of testing it, but I noticed that you missed the Lazarus 3.0 tag on the list ( See image ).

Not sure how relevant this is to you, but it may be of some importance to some.

Nonetheless, GREAT job and many thanks for your time!!!

Cheers,
Gus

Hey DonAlfredo,

Are you able to explain why all my installs with fpcupdeluxe, apart from main aka trunk, even the ones I have pre GIT, all are missing the icons on the menus?

Took me a while for this realisation to pop in my mind, but it's true!!

I have install of these version:
  • Lazarus 2.0.10 - SVN - No icons on the menus
  • Lazarus 2.0.12 - SVN - No icons on the menus
  • Lazarus 2.2.6 - GIT - No icons on the menus
  • Lazarus 3.0 - GIT - No icons on the menus
  • Lazarus 3.99 - GIT - HAS icons on the menus

This is rather intriguing, is it not?!

Cheers,
Gus

P.S.: Creating an issue on GitHub, just in case...

fpcupdeluxe performs a series of operations to build and configure fpc/Lazarus.  In some cases it also downloads and configures other needed libraries and tools such as when using the LAMW one-click button for Android development.

Question:  In its present implementation, can the fpcup command line tool be used to perform the same operations that the fpcupdeluxe LAMW button performs?

Hi,
I try to install FPC & Lazarus 3.0 with fpcupdelexe in stable release on a windows 11 arm on a Raspberry-pi.
I have 2 errors of the header size of 2 files : user32.dll and Kernell32.dll in the compilation of FPC.
If I want install Lazarus, FPC must be instaled first.
Thanks
François

@WayneSherman

In Setup+, the is a checkbox named: [Save settings in fpcup-script.]
If you check this box, it will save all commands into fpcup-script-commands. You can uses these commands to rebuild your setup (e.g. LAMW) using the command line tools.

@folkeu08
It seems that the wrong dll is choosen when building/linking. I have no clue about this error.

Just out of curiosity, what do you want to install x86-64 fpc and Lazarus on arm-based microcomputer for?

H,
At my work, it is impossible to install any software.
So I assembled an 8GB rasberry-pi 4 with a 1TB SSD in an Argon One M2 case.
This allows me to have a very small PC and to slip it into my coat pocket to leave with everything and continue my development at home and to have the software validated by the service without being bothered by our IT department.
I relied on the article published in Blaize Pascal Magazine N° 102 for the installation of Windows 11 ARM.
I had no idea that FPC would pose such problems. Delphi 11 community edition installs and works well.

Did you try to install lazarus-3.0-fpc-3.2.2-win64.exe?

Hi,
I created a post on the FPC forum if they could take into account the specific headers of the 2 dlls for Windows 11 ARM.
Yes, I used this installer and Lazarus works.

Just found this 'defmods.ini' file, produced by FPCUpDeluxe. Is there a way of adding/removing modules to this file without manually doing so in a text editor?
Say, for example, clicking on a module under the 'Modules' tab, then clicking on a button to add to the file instead of installing it?
This was one could setup the extra modules to be installed before installing Lazarus/FPC.

Just wondering.
When trying to build FPC cross compiler (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD) under windows (7 or 10), I wonder which are the cross compiler & libraries are used for.
I see in GITHUB many entries for libraries exemple for various version of freebsd
Quote
FreeBSD_AMD64_FreeBSD_10.zip
FreeBSD_AMD64_FreeBSD_12.zip
FreeBSD_AMD64_FreeBSD_13.zip

FreeBSD_AMD64_GhostBSD_11.zip
FreeBSD_i386_FreeBSD_10.zip
FreeBSD_i386_FreeBSD_12.zip

So my question is: What is the version you use (fpcupdeluxe) to build a cross-compiler.
What are the criteria fpcupdeluxe use to choose one of theses archives ( since the libs & binaries are downloaded automatically when compiling).

Thank you.
