Best way to print out database
« on: September 08, 2016, 10:11:01 pm »
Hi guys,I'm quite a newbie to Lazarus but I've already met with Pascal in my school. I'm doing a project to the school and it's about some database with information such as Name,Surname,Adress,Postal Code and some other information. What would be the best component to use to print it out?I'm thinking about printing it into the columns,first c olumn Name,second Surname etc.And the next question is whether I can use signs when a user is typing in TEdit,I mean something similar to what is on this page when you're typing a password in the  registration,there is a yellow triangle on the left/right and when you password is correct it turns to green sign . Thank you very much,sorry for my english

Reporting engine.

Just keep checking the password correctness at OnKeyPress. I wouldn't do that though, too expensive operation for a little UX gain.

UX = User eXperience

He mean it will take too much efforts just for a little user experience gain.

What sliziky wants to do on the sign-in form sounds possible, but that needs a lot of codes, which are hard to understand by novice programmers. If that attempt is for learning purpose, that's okay. But generally, that's not worth.

Got it... Tx!

It seems to me sliziky is taking on a bit more than he needs to chew...  I suggest he uses baby steps.  They make good building blocks.
