MySQL example code to show connecting and using the componen

Hello,

I just downloaded and installed Lazarus and Free Pascal last night and
am impressed with it.

I wanted to jump right in. However, I am not sure how to get a connection
and to set up an application to retrieve and post information to a database that I have on a server hosted elsewhere. It appears I may have the connection (not sure). But, I don't know how to see information or anything else with the component to attach to the MySQL database. I believe I used the component for th 4.1 database.

Have a look at the wiki. For instance tutorials. There is also a MySQL tutorial.
