Application does nothing after run button is clicked

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to lazarus and I'm struggling to get this up and running.

I create a simple form with one button and add an event to the button. When I click on run, the messages dialogue compiles and says "Compile Project, Target: Test1.exe:Success", but nothing happens.

I see the words "(debugging)..." next to the lazarus title as well. I assume it has to do with the debugger, but the path seems correct under Tools>Ottions>Debugger.

I'm running Windows 7 32 Bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

try to run without debugging then.

Run -> Run without Debugging

See if it makes any difference.

I managed to figure out that the problem was with my anti-virus. I had to turn of certain scan settings for it to work.
