Hi, I want to do something like chess NxN squares n-from edit, nothing special but i need first draw square of one colour to whole graphic area and then draw other squares.
could you help me?

It depends on your needs, but I think direct TCanvas of a TForm will suffice. If you need to put controls around, then use TCanvas of a TPaintBox.
