Hello Martin!

Thank you for this new release.

I have just installed it (Windows 10, FPC 3.0.0). I can compile demo.prj, but when I try to run it from the IDE (target, continue), I get this message: "Signal received. Signal: ?, Unknown signal. Function: ??"

When I run directly demo.exe (by double clicking), it executes without problem.

Have you an idea of what happens?

Best regards.

Roland
My projects are on Gitlab and on Codeberg.

If you use 64-bit FPC also a 64 bit GDB is needed, for example this one:
ftp://ftp.equation.com/gdb/64/gdb.exe
If someone knows a more official source of a 64 bit gdb.exe please write so it can be added to README.TXT.

PS: Please ask questions about MSEide+MSEgui on the mailinglist:

Forgot about http://cygwin.com/ ? Cygwin64 is on gdb 7.9X.
It is in the .\cygwin64\bin\folder and a normal windows executable.

But in that case one has to use the Cygwin installer?

Yes, officially and no, you only need gdb.exe afaik. I prefer cygwin tooling, that's why I suggested it.

Now the question is where that gdb.exe can be "officially" downloaded without installing the whole Cygwin environment.

Uncheck everything except gdb in the cygwin setup should work. The cygwin setup executable dynamically downloads what's needed/selected, so it is really nothing more than a setup in that sense.

I already hear the MSEide users to complain about the inconvenience and the "bloated install". ;-)

Is it 64 bit? Can it be downloaded separately somewhere? MSEide+MSEgui has no Lazarus folder. ;-)

Then bundle it ;) and only link to the cygwin license and the gdb license and sourcecode. That would be even better than simply providing a link to a prebuild executable without any reference to license information and how it was build.
There is nothing in the licenses that prohibits that.

It seems the 64 bit Lazarus distribution has indeed a mingw 64bit debugger in the distribution: v7.3.50.20110510-cvs. I can't find a direct link to just gdb.exe

Martin, simply find the GDB version you tested and prefer developers to use. Zip the executable, then add it to your SourceForge project page, under the File Downloads section. Can't get more official than that! [approved by Martin] ;)
