Linux: Accessing hidden directories with TFileNameEdit

I'm having a problem in Linux with TFileNameEdit,
I set the "DialogOptions.ofForceShowHidden" to True but I can't see any hidden directories at all.

Only setting the InitialDir of the TFileNameEdit to "/root/.hiddendir" helps. But I want to see hidden directories anyways...
