<SOLVED> where is a good place to put FPC soruce?

I've got Lazarus (RC1) installed, gdb, and fpc, but where is a good place to store the FPC Source code other then home dir?

I created a dir struct and stuck it in /opt/fpc/source/fpc3.0.0 then fired up Lazarus again after telling it where it was with their Configure Lazarus IDE window that pops up to check everything before fully starting and it didn't see it. soooo
Just like that question suggests  ;)

I usually simply create a "/fpc" or other dir.

i stuck it in /usr/src/fpc .. that is working now ..
