Cross Platform Bluetooth ?

Hi

I am thinking of incorporating BLUETOOTH control into one of my applications.

I have never even attempted this so it will all be new. I have read that Bluetooth devices communicate using Serial Ports, that about all I know.

Does anyone know of a cross-platform way to communicate with Blue Tooth Controllers?

Hope someone has been her before and can help point me in the right direction.

This is still Linux only but Matthias states in the wiki he is working on other platforms
