Missing check marks in checkboxes under Linux
« on: October 24, 2006, 05:32:28 pm »
My Lazarus is running on SUSE 10.1. In the Editor Options of the Environment menu there are a lot of checkboxes all showing no check mark in the selected state. The states are displayed by a lowered or raised small button. When I start my application written with Lazarus the check boxes look identical as in the Lazarus IDE, without check marks.
When you don't have check marks it is hard to catch the state at a short glance. I tried to change the gtk themes, colors, etc. but it was never possible to switch on the check marks. But all other programs on my SUSE Linux have checkboxes with check marks.
How can I switch on check marks for Lazarus and my own programs?

AFAIK, that is how checkboxes are shown in gtk. Did you try other gtk1 programs? Did you change the gtk1 theme (and not gtk2, because that doesn't affect Lazarus).
