Kinect + Lazarus + SDPOFreenect + Image Processing
« on: June 15, 2015, 07:44:13 pm »
Hi,

I am new using Lazarus and wondering if there's a way to get live stream from the Kinect Sensor and apply image processing as can be done using OpenCV or PCL.

So, my main questions are:

1. How can I get live strem from Kinect and show to the user?
2. How can I apply image processing (for identifying an object) in the live stream?

Thanks a lot,

André.

A past issue (no 31/32 from 2013) of Blaise Pascal Magazine had an article by Michael van Canneyt subtitled Programming the Microsoft Kinect in Pascal.
See their website http://www.blaisepascal.eu/

Hi, howardpc,

is there a way to use Kinect and Pascal in Ubuntu and apply image processing like the OpenCV and PCL libraries?

Thanks.

I don't know. Most likely there is a way, but I've never tried to program the Kinect myself.
