what would be the best Component to use for my project?

I want to load a directory full of images then display them in a list like this .. a small same image first then to the right of the image the  name of that image in a list format. which Component does that if there is any?

I don't know any but you can write your own component - descendant of TCustomListBox with overriden DrawItem method.
You can eventually look to TECImageMenu from ECControls. It is designed ths way.
