Are there any examples of fpjsondataset out there?

I am looking at fpjsondataset and want to see how a new dataset is created, fields added to it, and saved. I am guessing the saving part will be some kind of stream.

Are there some examples I may have missed?

Have you looked at the examples that come with the sources?
They reside in the examples folder which is a subfolder of ...\lazarus\fpc\2.6.4\source\packages\fcl-json. (in this case it's for fpc 2.6.4.)

I think you are referring to TJSONData whose name can be confused with Dataset.

fpdataset.pp is in ../fcl-db/src/json/ but there is no example included

You're right, I mistook this one for jsondataset.
