Publish Project File Date/Times

Currently, Publish Project does not preserve file modification dates/times -- at least not for me. I have been unable to locate any options setting to change this behavior.

Is there any particular reason for this behavior? Can it be changed?

Using 1.2.2 on Debian Linux.
