Recent projects?

I noticed this option in IDE settings (picture attached)
What is it for?? In case I can specify max number of recent projects, where is the list of recent projects? I could only find list of recent files in File -> Open Recent

for projects: "Project" / "Open recent project"
for files: "File" / "Open recent"

These menu items guide you to the most recently opened projects or files, you don't have to navigate to the corresponding files again.
