How to update Android screen with the code?

When I use menu to change font size I see no effect before a screen touch (android emulator). If I use a button to change font size I see the result instantly. Any suggestions?
It sounds silly, but the best spell to really invalidate/update the android form I’ve found is “ShowVirtualKeyboard; Hide VirtualKeyboard;”. But the spell works only TWO times (just a magic).
