Serial Com Component

Hi
I wanted to use the serial port in lazarus, both in linux and windows.
I've issued that there are several components but I found some who give error, others are very limited...
Which is the best component and still be updated?
Would it not be better to make a "definitive" component?

A portable one will always be limited.

I use it and it works.
