TPopUpMenu issue in TComboBox

Hello everybody!!!

I'm sorry for my poor English. In a form, I put a TComboBox (cb1), TEdit (e1) and TPopUpMenu (pu1) components; setting PopupMenu property in e1 and cb1 to pu1.

In TEdit component,  context popup menu (showing by mouse right clicking) works fine; but it doesn't seems works in TComboBox component.

By right clicking  text edit area  in TComboBox, default context popup menu showing instead. I'm using Lazarus 1.0.10-41613 FPC 2.6.2 i386-win32-win32/win64

I saw here  that it's a normal behavior; but I'm surprising about this, so why TComboBox have a PopupMenu property in first place?

Anybody knows how I can shown TPopUpMenu component using PopupMenu property in TComboBox text edit area??
