Unwanted Forum Redirects

Rails:
For some time, I have been getting sporadic and wholly unwanted redirects to the forum home page when I click on the "Mark All Messages As Read" button. When the new home page first appeared, this went away for awhile. Now it is back.

A Google search turned up this: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1148.0. Perhaps it is related.

Can this behavior  be changed? I tried blocking redirects, but that just results in a hung page.
