glscene install error:

i'm working Mandrake linux 10.1
i installed lazarus  0.9.10 beta
and i tried glscene install on it, but following error message:

GLKeyboard.pas(25,16) Error: User defined: Unit not supported
GLKeyboard.pas(25,16) Error: User defined: Unit not supported


how to fix it??

I've downloaded the newest version of glscene and tried to install the package using lazarus but i get the same error during compliation. I'm using Suse 10. Any ideas how to solve this problem ? Thanks in advance!

I got under the impression that glcene is far away from being usable under Linux (yet?).
The GLKeyboard problem is only one of several issues, which all seem pointing to missing
Windows stuff. From the glscene homepage I saw it's not ready for Kylix and Lazarus is
even not mentioned.

There was a project to port glscene to Linux though, it's called GLSceneX. So far they never
produced anything fully functional. They called it "work in progress" and that was in 2003.
Is this project dead?

What I don't understand: why don't they mention platform dependency on the GLScene main
page and trickle poor Linux users into the void instead? That's the point where even "free"
software starts being too expensive (<- as in "losing time for nothing").

Meanwhile I managed to install the glscene package (phew).  :twisted:
But...
There's so much to fix/add that it would need at least 2 pages full of documentation to explain
everything I did (some of that probably could be simplified, but I'm just a newbie to Lazarus).
So far I wasn't able to compile a single demo, though.
