How do you draw pipes and/or cylinder from rectangle using PhongShading?

 :) PhongShading is awesome!!! :D

After learning to use PhongShading, I created cylinder and other shapes just for fun. Now, I want to create complex drawings of pipes or cylinder from flat rectangle. How do you do that with PhongShading? If so, could you please give me an example. Thanks.
