What color depth are you using? The LCL cannot handle palettized screens less than 16 bits per pixel (yet).

Maybe a Windows 98-only bug?

Would he ask otherwise?

Is this maybe the transparency bug, where the color of the lower left pixel gets replaced everywhere by white or black?

I am using Windows 98 and can confirm this behaviour. I tried transparency True and False. In my case, transparency = False made the effect worse.
In contrary to the original poster, I have the effect at design time too.

Regards, Bernd.
