Lazarus Mac snapshots report - TUpDown components corrupted
« on: February 23, 2013, 01:36:21 pm »
Hi,
Not sure who to directly notify about this so I post it on the Forum.
The last 2 weeks or so EVERY new Mac i386 snapshot version e.g. (today) lazarus-1.1.40367-20130223-i386-macosx.dmg, has corrupted TUpDown icons on a form.
My code works fine under lazarus-1.1.40168-20130204-i386-macosx.dmg (February 4th 2013).
I know snapshots are untested software, but more often than not they work extremely well.

By the way, a small question many someone can answer: How does one notify Lazarus what Mac OS version is used (a complier message always appears 'assumed 10.7 etc.') ?

Very grateful for the awesome power Lazarus places in our hands and the great work done behind the scenes by so many.

Brian,

Agreed that the snapshots are mostly stable.

Why not report the bug to the bugtracker, mentioning your OS, Laz version etc and preferably a screenshot. If it only happens for some applications, please also attach a small zipped/.tar.gzipped  example project.

Sorry, going to moan a bit:
<pedant mode>
Ehm yes, noticed bug 23941. You might have included "TUPDown corruption" in the title though and a screenshot?!?
(The problem is not the snapshot itself - the problem is somewhere in recent code: snapshots are simply... snapshots of the latests development code tree at a certain point in time. Just saying there's a problem with snapshots in the title will make it less likely that the right dev gets to see the problem - which is TUpDown corruption)
</pedant mode>

That said, thanks a lot for reporting the bug - hope you can attach a screenshot to indicate what's going on & hope it gets fixed quickly.

I changed the bugreport summary into "Corrupted TUpDown icons on MacOSX ".
