Searching/filtering components on the components palete.
« on: November 29, 2012, 08:46:43 pm »
I have a lot of pages with components (Code Typhon) and when I need to find a particular component, it can be very uncomfortable. Is there a possibility to install a filtering/searching tool for components palete?

Main Menu --> View --> Component List
If you want, you can also get the same result by right-clicking on the components palette and selecting View All in the popup menu.

I am referring for the ability to locate an object through the Object Inspector by typing its name, so that it is highlighted in the tree view. When there are lots of objects on a form and some are behind in the Z order, the Object Inspector is the best way to locate them, but it can be difficult to find something on a form with many controls

There already is a filter edit control in Object Inspector in Lazarus trunk.
Please check out.
